communictaion selection tools confusing

The communication selection buttons are confusing. I don't know what to do where. We should really clean this and make it very very clear what is required in the direction of the user and whatnot.

For instance holding this base bar is super rewarding. There are many buttons in there. I would really just make it clear that this is optional and that it would visually highlight if the mic is on or off and what might be required for the user to actually do and what they can do. Maybe like a visual walkthrough or so, or maybe like a visual explanation at the very beginning to give them instruction on what they can do. I think that would be helpful.
